Woodland Hills Golf Club's resident golf pro is Don Harrison, who has been a Certified CPGA Instructor since 1963.
Don was the lead professional at Essex Golf and Country Club for 18 years, has worked at Winnipeg's St. Charles Club, as well as spending several seasons at a club in Arizona.
"When you have a repeat of students come through the program and see the improvements," Don says, "you realize that the program is a success."
Don is a very popular instructor whose students return year after year.
More than 400 young golfers attend the annual spring and summer with the Junior Golf Academy.
Don understands the hard work that goes into the sport and the benefits gained from it- at any age.
Several students have gone on to collect scholarships under Harrison's direction.
"Children are never too young to take up golf," Don says. "Respect the kids and they will respect you. Kids want to learn and they want to be good, so they work hard to achieve that goal."
